Clinical Information
- Acute or chronic inflammation of the duodenum. Causes include bacterial and viral infections and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Symptoms include vomiting and abdominal pain.
- Inflammation of the duodenum (the first part of the small intestine that connects to the stomach).
- Inflammation of the duodenum section of the small intestine (intestine, small). Erosive duodenitis may cause bleeding in the upper gi tract and peptic ulcer.
